Brief History Of Bells University Of Technology
Bells University of Technology in Ota is Nigeria’s first private university of technology.
It was given an operational license on June 9, 2005, and began operation on July 1, 2005.
The Bells University of Technology concept arose from the Bells Educational Foundation’s ambition to develop a one-of-a-kind university to build the strong foundation provided by its Secondary School and other Secondary Schools.
To preserve its distinctiveness, the Foundation resolved to build a university that would provide courses promoting relevant and sustainable technologies that were transferable, ICT-driven, and on the cutting edge of science and technology.
To actualize its aim, the Bells Educational Foundation got an application form for the construction of a private university from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on January 10, 2002, and submitted it on November 10, 2004.
