Brief History Of Redeemer’s University
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has always wanted to contribute to university education in Nigeria, believing it may help a nation improve socially and technologically. Decree No. 19 of 1984 prohibited private universities, so this goal was dashed. The opportunity was however made available by the Federal Government of Nigeria, when Decree No. 9 of 1993 was promulgated, allowing private individuals or organizations to establish universities in Nigeria, provided they meet certain criteria laid down by the Federal Government through the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Candidates with 5 O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English language are eligible to apply for admission provided they sit for the UTME of the year in which admission is sought and they meet the cut-off mark as stipulated by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Direct Entry (DE)
Candidates with 5 O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English language are eligible to apply through A Levels, JUPEB, OND, etc. provided they obtain the JAMB DE form of the year in which admission is sought.

Redeemer’s University Post-UTME Cut-off Mark
In addition to the JAMB cut-off mark, Redeemer’s University sets post-UTME cut-offs for certain academic programs. Redeemer’s University conducts the post-UTME screening examination for qualifying candidates. The following are the post-UTME cut-off marks for specific faculties and departments:
