Students whose university of choice is SUMMIT University are hereby advised to make sure they score nothing less than 140 before proceeding with the application form.
Brief History Of SUMMIT UNiversity Offa
Summit University, Offa, the University of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN), is the result of years of meticulous planning and management of human and material resources. Indeed, the Society remains one of the leading religious organizations, with an exceptional track record of providing education to Nigerian students at the basic, secondary, and university levels, regardless of religious and ethnic, regional, or political connections.
The vision of establishing a faith-based university with world-class standards of teaching, research, and community service began on February 27, 2002, when the National Education Board of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria formed the Higher Education Committee to realize members’ dreams and yearnings. On April 3, 2004, the National Executive Committee meeting Society decided to situate the University in Offa, Kwara State. In June 2005, the Society formally requested for an operating license for its private university from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in Abuja.
SUMMIT University Application Process For 2024/2025
Below are the requirements needed for the 2024/2025 admission processing;
- 5 credits requirement in SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent in at least 5 subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects as may be specified by each Department/Programme. (5 credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings).
- All UTME candidates are required to obtain the minimum cut-off mark for the admission year. The Cut-off mark for 2022/2023 admission exercise is 140.
- Make sure to choose Summit University, Offa as their first choice or change their first choice institution to Summit University, Offa on the JAMB portal.
- Visit www.summituniversity.edu.ng to pay the Processing Fee and fill Online Application Form before the Screening exercise. (See Payment Schedule below)
- Go through the Summit University’s Post UTME Screening Exercise. (See Payment Schedule below)
- Post-UTME Screening on candidates is done on a daily basis
- Visit the University with copies of the following documents and writing materials for Post UTME Screening:
- O’ Level Result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to be used for Admission JAMB Notification of Result/Print-out
- JAMB Change of Institution Form
- Confirmation of Application on Summit University, Offa Portal
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Statutory declaration of Age
- Scratch Card for verification of O’ Level Results
- Five Recent Passport photographs
For DIRECT Entry Student;Â
- Credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent in at least 5 subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics and any other three subjects as may be specified by each Department/Programme
- Plus any of the following:
- OND or approved equivalents in relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit
- A minimum of two Passes in relevant subjects in recognised Advanced Level Subjects. Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) and Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) or equivalents are accepted.
- Satisfactory performance at Screening interview conducted by the University.
- You are to come to the University with copies of the following documents and writing materials for Post UTME Screening:
- O’ Level Result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to be Used for Admission JAMB DE Registration Form
- JAMB Change of Institution Form
- Confirmation of Application on Summit University, Offa Portal
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Statutory declaration of Age
- Scratch Card for verification of O’ Level Results
- Five Recent Passport photographs
